Last night I had a game of Command and Conquer Red Alert (with Aftermath). It was awesome! I played as Russia, of course, (Tesla Coils FTW!), and it was great fun.

I've also been getting back into Counter-Strike: Source. de_dust is the best map (and there's even a dedicated de_dust server!), I like the MP5. Here is a screenshot:

1GB SD Memory Card FTW!

I decided it was time to upgrade to a 5.1 speaker system for my computer when my back left speaker on the Cambridge Soundworks FPS 2000 Digital 4.1 system had been knocked over one too many times and then stopped working. That is until I hit it quite hard. Anyway they still work so I can set them up on my 3dfx box.

So with a bit of 3M Command Adhesive™ I mounted the centre channel speaker to the wall...

The top hook is only there for an emergency, such as if the hooks on the bottom break off somehow.

Here is a comparison picture of the Subwoofers for the Cambridge Soundworks FPS 2000 Digital 4.1 and the Logitech Z-5500's:

My old Canon PowerShot A70 3.2MP developed a slight problem and I purchased a Canon PowerShot A620 7.1MP Digital Camera to replace it. It was about the same price as when I purchased the A70 back in 2004.

The A620 is better than the A70 because:

  • 7.1 MegaPixels instead of 3.2MP
  • 4x Optical Zoom instead of 3x Optical Zoom
  • Larger LCD Screen which can be rotated around
  • Feels lighter than the old one
  • The new camera turns on faster than the old one
  • The new camera takes photos faster than the old one
  • The new camera has a USB 2 connection, which feels a couple of thousand times faster than the old camera's standard USB connection.

Here is a sample shot of my new speakers, (which will be in the next exciting update!) (NB: the picture is 1.51MB)

The Listerine Wars:

  • Listerine Gold: Shit in its purest form. This is the most revolting stuff I have ever had the displeasure of tasting. And I could still taste the foul liquid for some time after expelling it. Vile and putrid indeed.
  • Listerine Cool Mint: Literally a Cool Minty flavour. Tastes quite nice and is quite refreshing. Better than Freshburst (Although Freshburst is a good flavour as well.)

Today's Random Picture: Fragile!!!

Greetings and welcome to November!

The Coffee Wars:

  • Nescafe Classic: Don't bother.
  • Robert Harris Dark Espresso: Tries to be good, but isn't
  • Robert Harris Euro Gold: Tries to be Nescafe Gold, but fails.
  • Moccona Classic: Tasteless.

Another reason Robert Harris coffee is so bad is that the packaging is badly designed. Sure, it looks nice, but to close the lid fully you need to twist it further around, and the following picture is the very unappealing and retarded look:

Finally we come to the GOOD Coffee:

  • Nescafe Gold: Incredibly awesome. Once you've tasted this you'll understand why Nescafe Classic/Robert Harris/Moccona is so bad.
  • Aurora Italian Style: Stronger than Nescafe Gold, and with a different taste. Another excellent example of good instant (Premium Freeze Dried) coffee.

And thus the Coffee wars are over. Nescafe Gold is the clear victor, followed closely by Aurora Italian Style.

Today's Random Picture: Broccoli!!!
