31/05/2004: 7:34pm I have just created and added a new movie! You think these guys are good? You aint seen nothing yet! With original music composed by scottg26! Crank up those subwoofers... In other news, since today I posted a
movie, there will be no random picture :P Today's Brunch: A can of Baked Beans, two pieces of toast with "Gold'n Canola Lite" spread, a fried egg, a can of whole peeled tomatoes cooked with the egg, and all sprinkled with kelp pepper! Sorry for the lack of updates recently, I have been completing my Project Reflective Report. Thankfully I have now finished it. All that is left now is 2 presentations and 3 exams. I bought Star Trek: Voyager Season 1 on DVD. I must say it is amazing. I can't believe it is only the first few episodes. Normally the first few episodes suck, but these are really good. Plus it came with 2 episodes of Star Trek: The Original Series on the last DVD, so I look forward to checking those out. I love it how The Doctor is so... direct. In the last episode he slapped someone! Meanwhile I bought 5 fans from Trademe which are supposed to be fairly quiet, and believe me they are! I hooked all 5 of them up and I could still hear the Voodoo 5 5500's twin fans over them! Here are the pictures: Yes, the fans are actually spinning, the camera is taking the pictures so fast it appears as if they are stopped. Today's Random Picture: The 3dfx Case Badge on my 3dfx box!!! Today I did a presentation on Procmail with someone else. It went well, we got 86%. My spell checker is broken in Microsoft Powerpoint 2000!!! I don't know why...but my spelling is atrocious. Tonight's dinner! Campbell's V8 Vegetable Juice, a can of Sealord Tuna Lite Sundried Tomato and Basil, some broccoli and an Aunt Betty's Spicy Apple Pudding. I had Indian for lunch (Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala) at the Atrium on Elliot foodcourt. Today's Random Picture(s): My Computer! New Movie added! Total Annihilation Retards! Get it on the Movies page... Did a presentation at class today...I think it went quite well. I have discovered eggs. I poached one, but most of it turned into bubbles. I was supposed to add vinegar to the water. So today I fried one and had it on Spaghetti and Vogel's Bread. And I also had Cauliflower and Charlie's Orange Juice. I have another 128MB of RAM on the way for the 3dfx Box, stay tuned for details on how it worked out... Today's Random Picture: A wall socket!!! UPDATE: I guess I shouldn't have cooked my custard for so long... I just finished watching The Matrix on DVD. I must say it is an excellent movie. I only wish I had 5.1 sound with an awesome sub to complement it. You never know... Today I mucked around making my Procmail presentation for System Administration. Also today I had one cup of Dilmah Standard Tea and one cup of Dilmah Earl Grey Tea. For dinner I decided to have a poached egg on baked beans and toast, with kelp pepper. Which incidentally is TODAY'S RANDOM PICTURE!!! Auckland is not the City of Sails, it is the City of SMOG. Click on these pictures, showing the disgusting smog around Auckland CBD, to get a bigger version. This is absolutely foul, and just what exactly does our wonderful mayor John Banks think that the eastern highway will do to this? The other day I was on a bus with FIFTY other people. Since in Auckland everyone is in a car by themselves, one bus = 50 people = 50 less cars on the road! John Banks and everyone else like him need to be shot for even considering bringing more cars into the CBD. THE EASTERN HIGHWAY MUST BE STOPPED! I hope this picture has shattered anyone's "clean, green image" of New Zealand, and especially of Auckland. In other news yesterday I bought a new computer case! Click here for the pics. I made a new movie of the new case light, which changes colour! Click here for the movie. The new case also came with a Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp! So I put it into my main computer: Today's Random Picture: A piece of burnt Spiral Pasta!!! Check the feedback page for some new hate mail! Today I had Brown Rice for dinner. I cannot stress enough how incredibly awesome rice is. Go try some today! Here is how I cook it: 1) Get 1 cup of water boiling in a pot 2) While the water is heating up, wash 1/2 a cup of brown rice 3) When the water is boiling add the brown rice and about 1/2 a tablespoon of olive oil to the pot 4) Simmer for 30 minutes, checking occasionally to make sure that the water has not all been absorbed 5) Remove from heat, and leave to stand for 10 minutes 6) Add a Sealord Tuna Heat and Eat Meal - Sweet and Sour is the best. 7) Enjoy :) Today's Random Picture: The Gas Burner!!! Standby for some actual hate mail I received the other day! (You'll have to standby until tomorrow, lol) Some leechers have been looking at my Counter-Strike: Condition Zero pictures. Today's Random Picture: My Grandparent's Fish!!! New movies have been added! It is a Total Annihilation movie and you can download 3 movies in one zip file here! (3.24MB) New Sunset added. I got an old computer going today, a Celeron 500 with 64MB of RAM. And a 3dfx Voodoo 5 5500 AGP video card! Unfortunately Unreal ran like a piece of shit, even in 640x480. AND IT WAS RUNNING IN GLIDE! I swear it ran better on my Voodoo 3 and Celeron 416... I might try Need for Speed 3 later. Today's Random Picture: The sun shining through the trees... Not much going on here today, got 83.5% in an assignment and that's about it. However Auckland's leaders are idiots. WE DO NOT NEED THE EASTERN HIGHWAY YOU FOOLS! Instead, spend $1 BILLION on Public Transport such as busses, trains and ferries. Consider this: 40 people on one bus, or FORTY CARS ON THE ROAD! How about an electric train, hell, why not even a monorail? Forget building an 8 lane bridge, a simple rail bridge running parallel or somewhere near to the harbour bridge or even straight to Devonport! Hell, vote for me. SCOTTG26 FOR MAYOR!!!! Today's Random Picture: A Plane!!!
More hilarious funnies today my friends! http://badgerbadger.ytmnd.com/ Do I have to mention how much Tribes 2 absolutely ROCKS?! Go play it now! I can't think of anything else to add today. Except that maybe Conexant rocks... Today's Random Picture: A Rainbow in the sky... First off, you must check out these hilarious links:
http://superkhan.ytmnd.com/ Second, congratulations to Sir_Gallahad for informing me that this seed was in fact from a maple tree! YOU WIN THE PRIZE!! Someone last weekend said that my site was "a site about nothing". To be honest, I find that comment fascinating. Meanwhile today I bought the shittiest set of games in existence. I beg your forgiveness. Don't ask what tempted me to buy this collection of craptacular games... I certainly have no idea. It was titled "8 Ultimate 3D Games". But it should have been titled "8 'Games' Found in the Septic Tank". These games were published by "nodtronics"... To be honest when I saw the name "nodtronics" I should have immediately put the CD case down. Let me stress this: these games were so bad I would rather have studied than played them. Here is the CD cover of this collection of games. Avoid it at all costs. (Click for larger picture) Today's Random Picture: A sunset that did not come out very well on my Canon PowerShot A70 Digital Camera because I need a tripod to take pictures in low light situations. (No larger picture available - it is too blurry)
After being internet-less for a day...*GASP*... we finally got our internet back up and running! I had to buy a new router and switch. I got the Puretek PT-3808 ADSL Modem Router and a Xnet SH-9005P 5 Port Switch. It was about $100 NZD for both. I was going to get an ADSL Router and Switch combined but the shop had sold out and it was slightly cheaper to get them separately anyway. You can also use the router's USB port at the same time as the Ethernet port, so I could have one extra person using it if required. At first it was on 10.0.0.2 but it was easy enough to change to 192.168.0.1 and set up DHCP. Click here for the photo gallery of the router and switch! Today's Random Picture: A potato experiment! Check these hilarious songs out!!

and the Captain Picard Song for anyone who missed it... Yesterday I downloaded the Sacred demo. It looks quite nice. I am going to go and play it now. Today's Random Picture: My New Canon i560 Printer!!! New Endorsements added! I hope everyone is enjoying Tribes 2, I hope to have some great games of it later today. I hope to find a motherboard for my Legacy Box I will be building to play old games and especially old glide games like Unreal. I already have a Voodoo 5 5500 and 512MB of DDR Ram, now I just need a motherboard that will support the Voodoo 5, aka any board running the VIA KT333/KT266 chipsets, an Athlon XP CPU, probably 2400+, and a Case/PSU. Today's Random Picture: A seed of some sort! (Know what sort of seed it is? )
After yesterday's new I hope that ALL OF YOU are now playing Tribes 2!!! I had several excellent games yesterday and can't wait to get back into it tomorrow. Did you enjoy hearing Captain Picard of the USS Enterprise singing? Do you have an opinion on the Foreshore and Seabed issue in New Zealand at the moment? Here is my opinion: Everyone should own it, not just one group, or a single person. Thus, it should belong to the people of New Zealand. Have a different view? Post about it on the forums. Still looking for the guide on how to beat Malcolm at UT2004? Get it here. Arnotts Tim Tams Biscuits: The only one to buy is the caramel flavour. Which also happens to be today's random picture!!! Today's Random Picture: Arnotts Tim Tams Chewy Caramel Biscuits! Well Tribes 2 has been released for FREE! You can get it at Fileplanet! Play it now, especially if you live in New Zealand or Australia! Last night I fired up Quake 3 for the first time in 5 months and was blown away (again) by how awesome it was. q3dm17 - The Longest Yard: BEST DEATHMATCH MAP EVAR! Quake 3 is so much more fast paced than UT2004 or any of the UT's. It is one of the greatest deathmatch games of our time. I also played it on CTF on the first CTF map, which was brilliant as well. Go install Quake 3 right now (after you have played Tribes 2 for at least 2 hours) and see how fun it is! Plus it runs perfectly... Click here to hear Captain Picard singing! Hilarious! What should I have for dinner tonight? I'm thinking cauliflower and maybe some Pam's lasagna... Today's Random Picture: A cauliflower! Still wondering how to beat Malcolm on DM Hyperblast 2 in UT2004? Click here for the guide... I'm sure you have heard of being GGOWNED or GGPWNED? Well, prepare to be GUH GUH PRAWNED!
Well the big news this morning is that ATI has announced it's X800 series of graphics cards! You can get a list of review sites from www.futuremark.com Meanwhile the other day I finished Counter-Strike Condition Zero. I have to say that it is not the best game ever, and not the worst ever, was not good, and was not bad all at the same time! What I really hate is STEAM. It is a STEAMing pile of shit. If I format the computer or uninstall the game, I will have to reconnect to steam, and let it to do it's update again to get the patch! What an absolute waste of time and bandwidth. Sure, Valve made a great game, Half-Life, but their idea of steam is stupid, pathetic, and must be stomped out now before it becomes acceptable!!!!! Today's Random Picture: Me watching Dora the Explorer!!! First of all, a big thank you to all the loyal fans of scottg26.com out there! Second, today it rained like a mofo! Anyone looking to buy a printer should seriously consider the Canon i560 Bubblejet Printer. It is the best thing since sliced bread. 4 ink tanks, really fast, awesome quality, and photos that actually look like photos! (the printer comes with a sampler pack of glossy photo paper.) Buy this printer today! No, scottg26.com is not sponsored by Canon. Yesterday I tried the Progressive Scan on my Philips DVD 727K DVD player. It was using a projector and was connected using odd cables, but the quality was crap-tastic. Why? Well, with an NTSC DVD, there was horrible interlacing on high motion shots, or when characters moved etc. It made it unwatchable. Second, when watching a PAL DVD, there was next to no difference in quality. However, if you forget about Progressive Scan, the Philips DVD 727K still rocks! Stay tuned for pictures of my standard breakfast! Basically what I do is get cereal and add some canned pears, a banana, and frozen berries to it. An instant classic! Try it today... Ever tried Choysa Tea? Choysa Tea is crap. It tastes like Hay. DO NOT BUY CHOYSA TEA! Today's Random Picture: A Rainy Day in Auckland! A new month has arrived! In case you missed the pictures of my house in New Zealand you can find them here. If you are looking for the UT2004 Walkthrough of How to beat Malcolm on DM Hyperblast 2 then you can find it here. Do you own a Philips DVD 727K DVD player or want to find some information on it? Click here. Today's Random Picture: A bottle of Lambrusco Red Sparkling Wine!
