29/6/2004: 9:20am Exam Handback today! I can hardly contain my excitement... Today's Random Picture: A Plane I tried to take a picture of. Most of the picture is the side of the house...
Recipe for making porridge on the stove added! New Endorsement Added! Sealord Tuna Heat and Eat meals! Basmati Rice is the best rice ever. Forget all other rice and try some Basmati rice. Be prepared to pay for it though :) Battlestar Galactica ROCKS! Buy it on DVD RIGHT NOW! Today's Random Picture: A hidden cache of canned food in my wardrobe!
Today is my day off. I will be playing Ground Control II and having some Basmati rice later. Today's Random Pictures: An Italian Ciabatta!
I finished Deus Ex: Invisible War on Tuesday morning. It was a great game, you should go buy it now. Yesterday I bought Ground Control II, and I am loving that so far as well. Awesome graphics and strategy. Meanwhile not much else has happened here. Today's Random Picture: Some excellent Eye Fillet Steak I had yesterday. I swear it wasn't quite that red though...
Sorry for the lack of updates the past few days, I have been at work, and with my time off I have been playing Deus Ex: Invisible War, which rocks! Tomorrow I will be off to see Dawn of the Dead, followed by Indian for lunch: Butter Chicken!!! Today I received a free glider/plane from work!!! Click here for a new movie I made with it!!!!
Greetings! Imagine my surprise when I checked my phone and found the following text message:
Unfortunately I was unable to state the Prime Directive. I know it is a policy of non-interference with other cultures, especially pre Warp cultures, but still... I watched an excellent episode of Battlestar Galactica today: The Gun On Ice Planet Zero. I especially love the music and the designs of the Battlestars and Base-Stars. Today's Random Picture: My model of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 Refit by BANDAI!
Well today was fun. I packed at checkout for half an hour! w00t! Anyway it is late and I need to go to sleep. Today's Random Picture: Some Coins! (1 Cent US, 5 Cents NZ, 5 Cents Australian)
What a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky! And I get to spend it studying!!! I cannot wait until I have finished university and never have to spends days and days studying again! Unfortunately I only have 3 episodes of Season 1 of Voyager to watch. However there are a ton of special features and even 2 episodes of The Original Series of Star Trek, so that should be fun :) I think I will also collect the Transformers DVD's as well... Meanwhile I found this in The New Zealand Herald yesterday:
For the uninformed: Te Reo = Maori language, Te Karere = some Maori news program, Pakeha = New Zealand European. Today's Random Picture: Playing with the lighting settings on my Digital Camera!
A joyous day of study awaits! Then I will go to work! As I like to call it: the perfect day. I have been considering getting all the Star Trek: Deep Space 9 DVD's, however I still have seasons 2-7 of Voyager to collect so we will have to wait and see. What should I have for lunch today? Uncle Ben's 2 minute Microwave Basmati rice with a Sealord Tuna Heat and Eat meal, Thai Red Curry flavour? Or Perhaps a Pam's Lasagna with Beef Mince? Perhaps a can of Spaghetti? Check out the movies page if you need some excitement in your life. Today's Random Picture: The Sky Tower with full Optical (3x) and Digital (9.6x total) zooms!
Today I studied for System Administration and TCP/IP. Then I watched 2 episodes of Battlestar Galactica and one episode of Voyager. Does anyone know why Season 1 of Voyager is only 15 episodes? Also, today Deus Ex: Invisible War arrived, I look forward to playing it next week after my last exam. Today's Random Picture: Some most excellent eye fillet steak I had for lunch today...
I need to start studying now, hopefully I can finish the first set of handouts from TCP/IP. I get the Life Will Be Fine sheet tomorrow for TCP/IP anyway. Battlestar Galactica is actually really good! I've only watched the first 2 episodes (the first one was in 3 parts, and the second one was 2 parts - so 5 in total), but it is awesome! I love the music, the Cylons, Baltar the bastard, and the designs of the ships, especially the Battlestars and Base stars! Last night I also watched two episodes of Star Trek Voyager. The episodes were excellent as well. One was the Doctor's first holodeck adventure, the second was about a Dark Matter nebula full of energy beings who wanted to steal the energy from the crews' brains!!!! I took 2 photos of the moon a few minutes ago for some reason: Today's Random Picture: My Computer Desk!
My study goes well. I have nearly finished my target for System Administration today, and then I will begin on TCP/IP. I think I need to learn how to do subnets... Then I will have a look at Help Desk. Meanwhile I thought I would try something today... I think I would make a good captain of the Enterprise. Today's Random Picture: One US cent!
Tomorrow I must study. Most of the day. From 10am to 8pm. I already have my menu worked out for tomorrow! 1. Cup of tea, Dilmah. 2. Sultana Bran with frozen berries 3. Nachos kit 4. Broccoli 5. V8 Juice Maybe some pasta, or Fish Flips, or even rice. Today's Random Picture: Some more clouds!!!
Good Morning! I have just had a cup of Dilmah Tea and breakfast (Pam's Natural Muesli, frozen berries and some canned pears), and now I will go and study before I start getting ready for work at 12:15pm. Today it is kinda cold. Work will be fun, as I only have a vest and no jacket. And there is no heater in the storeroom... If you don't have the Star Trek: Voyager Season 1 DVD's then I suggest you go and buy them now. Voyager ROCKS!!! Today's Random Picture: The Sky!
My first day with no class, supposed to be spent studying for exams. Well, I did do some study. I wrote out the handouts on partitioning, and am now writing notes from the book on the same thing. I downloaded the demo of the new game called Perimeter today. I don't know what to think of it. It looks kinda nice, and seems to have been inspired by the Final Fantasy movie. I don't think it would be that fun to play though. I also downloaded the Nox demo, an ancient game made by Westwood Studios. The demo, unfortunately, was multiplayer only so I could only host a multiplayer game which wasn't much fun. Perhaps one day I will see it in a store for $5 or something. I decided to measure the temperature of my Athlon 64 3200+ and the Northbridge of my MSI K8T Neo motherboard, which uses the VIA K8T800 chipset. I loaded up AquaMark 3 a few seconds after I started up SpeedFan, and here are the results - the green line is the Athlon 64 3200+, the cooler is a ThermalTake Silent Boost K8, which is basically silent.
As you can see, the Athlon 64 3200+ warms up very quickly, and cools down even quicker! However, the passive cooling on the Northbridge doesn't seem to keep up. Today's Random Picture: Some Interesting Clouds!!!
As it was the end of the month, some of you may have missed the Pen Skillz movie, so I will post it again for you. Make sure you check out this link first, otherwise it will not make sense to you. "You think these guys are good? You aint seen nothing yet! With original music composed by scottg26! Crank up those subwoofers..." Make sure you check out this awesome game: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/172015 You fly a ROFLcopter dropping OMGbombs and WTFmissiles. An instant classic! Also check out the Butterfly Knife video. Today's Random Picture: The PSC chips on some TwinMOS PC3200 RAM I just sold!
