26/02/2004: 10:41pm Here is a picture showing the temperature of my Athlon 64 3200+ (2GHz) after playing the UT2004 demo for a few minutes, with my Thermaltake Silent Boost K8 Cooler, using Arctic Silver 3. The slight dip at about a third of the way along is probably when I was changing my settings.

Hard to get out of bed at 6am but anyway. Had baked beans for lunch, going to write out a calendar of when assignments are due etc later. Maybe play Command and Conquer Renegade or something. 24/02/2004: 11:41am Well I had the McDonald's Hash Browns and am having the coffee now. It is ok. Got up at 6am today for my 8am class. It is the "Project" class that we have to do in our final year. Doing research shouldn't be too bad, but I never look forward to the presentations. And I have work from 1pm to 10pm today. We ran out of dishwasher powder the other day. Because I bought the last one, I don't feel I should have to buy it all the time (I bought the current rinse aid as well), but as to whether or not anyone else will buy some remains to be seen... Perhaps they feel that because I work in a supermarket I should buy everything while I am there? Anyway... 23/02/2004: 10:27pm Today I had my first class of University for the year. It went well. Very small classes and I "discovered" a new set of buses (755-757) so that I don't have to walk up a huge hill like I do on 769. 767 is still the best though, because it drops me off right outside my house. I uploaded a few pictures of my Athlon 64 for a thread on Futuremark. (Page 4). I will create a page soon dedicated to my computer. It's a beast :) Tomorrow morning after my only class, 8-10am, I will go to McDonald's for 4 Hash Browns and a hell of a lot of tomato ketchup. Maybe I will get to read the Letters page of The New Zealand Herald at the same time (it is my favourite page.) I have been cooking has browns at my flat, but they never turn out as good and take too long to cook. One of my friend's from my high school, St Peter's School, Cambridge, sent me a funny PowerPoint presentation to host for him. Get it here. Until next time! -scottg26 20/02/2004: 3:04pm Added yet another recipe: How to make a burger. 20/02/2004: 1:54pm Added 3 new movies. Here is a picture taken in our kitchen. Notice the difference in the two signs. What a contrast of character!

14/02/2004 8:20pm What a nice sunset:
14/02/2004 6:55pm Today I uploaded a video tour of my room. It is 3.83MB, and can be downloaded here. Today I also downloaded the demo of UT2004. It is amazing, much better than UT2003, and the drivable vehicles make it even better. Check out the Screenshots page for some screenshots. UT2004 also runs perfectly on my Athlon 64 3200+ and Powercolor ATI Radeon 9800 XT. We had a multiplayer game of Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour today. At first we were playing as China, and after losing twice we switched sides to America. We were just sending our armies for the final assault to destroy the enemy when the game went out of sync and quit. ATTENTION ELECTRONIC ARTS: IMPROVE YOUR NETWORK CODE!!! Tiberian Sun also has incredibly bad network code, even today network play is horribly slow.
13/02/2004 4:51pm Oh yes, before I forget: Last week I scratched my car on a concrete pole in a parking building as I was reversing into the parking space. Here is the damage:
Also today I got my Certificate to say that I know what the Sale Of Liquor Act 1989 is about (after doing a 2 day course on the Sale of Liquor Act 1989 and Host Responsibility) so that I can apply for my Manager's Certificate. I work at a supermarket, and someone at all times needs to be "On Duty" for selling alcohol and that person needs to have a Managers Certificate. Feel free to send me a congratulatory email :P
13/02/2004 4:17pm Great news! I picked up my digital camera today! It is a Canon A70. Also picked up a FujiFilm Battery Charger, which came with 4 2100 NiMH rechargeable batteries, and a 256MB Transcend CompactFlash Memory Card. Click here for the goods!
